The Role

We require a skilled and experienced AV Support Technician to join our ICT support team. Your role will include provision of a full audio-visual support service including installation, configuration, maintenance, fault diagnosis and support of AV systems and facilities, involving a wide range of technologies and solutions. You will also work in numerous technical capacities on live events in varied venues and locations. You will be required to provide professional, effective, knowledgeable and rapid audio-visual support to staff across the authority, and perform proactive maintenance of AV equipment, video conferencing and unified communications solutions in meeting rooms and spaces. Effective management of the customer relationship during the support process is essential. You must have an enthusiastic personality, an ability to learn quickly, a strong attention to detail and a demonstrable technical aptitude; particularly with specialist AV hardware and software including Microsoft Teams, video conferencing, sound engineering, video production and streaming solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as you will have to work with both technical and non-technical users as well as senior members of staff.
