The role will be part of the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent joint PMO, managed by an LGR Programme Manager and based in the Strategy, Economy and Communications Service. It is a hybrid role based at the Civic Centre in Stoke on Trent, with flexibility to work from home and across Staffordshire as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of projects within the Local Government Reform Programme
- Assist with programme governance, reporting, and risk management processes
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Maintain project documentation, action logs, and programme schedules
- Monitor project progress and support the tracking of milestones and deliverables
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing papers for senior managers and boards
- Support communication and engagement activities across programme workstreams
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to support programme outcomes
- Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with programme management processes
About You
- Experience supporting projects or programmes in a professional environment
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
