The predicted salary is between 25583 - 25583 £ per year.

Salary: £25,583 (pro rata) 30 hours per week. 45.05 weeks per year. Term time only. Fixed term until 21st July 2027. With the opening of our dedicated Inclusion Base in September 2026, we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting and championing pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Successful candidates will work under the direction of a teacher to support Key Stage 2 pupils in the mornings, helping them to make meaningful progress in a nurturing and structured environment. In the afternoons, they will provide in-class support across KS2, working collaboratively with staff to ensure all pupils can access learning. The role involves supporting children with a wide range of needs, including communication and interaction needs, sensory and physical needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and cognition and learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Experience of working with children/young people, specifically those with special educational needs and disabilities. Recent experience of working in a school. A standard of written and spoken English that supports pupils’ learning.
  • Qualifications/Training: TA specific qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
  • Knowledge/Skills: An understanding of the varied needs of children as they develop socially and academically. A knowledge of behaviour management techniques that support school and classroom practices. Knowledge of restorative practice to support SEND pupils. A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and meeting individual needs. Willingness to take part in appropriate training and personal and professional development. Ability to work as part of a team. Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to use ICT/the internet and email to support pupils’ learning.
