King Edward VI High School (Stafford, ST17) is seeking a reliable and friendly Janitor with driving responsibilities to join our busy secondary school in a welcoming setting with 661 pupils. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the day‑to‑day running of our school community.

Hours: 8:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (6:30 pm on Monday and 5:30 pm on Friday).

Location: King Edward VI High School, Stafford (ST17).

About the Role

As our new Janitor with driving duties, you will:

  • Drive the school minibus for pupil runs at the start and end of each school day.
  • Carry out janitorial duties during afternoon/evening shifts, including cleaning, basic maintenance, and site safety.
  • Act as a keyholder, ensuring the school is securely locked up each evening.
  • Work term time only, offering an excellent work‑life balance.
What We're Looking For

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence, a practical approach to work, and a commitment to supporting a safe and welcoming school environment. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will need to undertake Staffordshire County Council’s mini‑bus licence test.
