This is a Politically Restricted Post under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and subsequent amendments introduced by the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009.
Main Responsibilities- Play a pivotal role in ensuring delivery of the Council’s Strategic Direction 2026 – 2028 (its corporate plan) priorities and the projects that underpin this.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director for Strategy and Transformation to ensure that Staffordshire is at the forefront of change, helping us deliver better outcomes for our residents, communities and businesses.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within the council and with public, private and third sector organisations, ensuring a focus on mutually beneficial arrangements to deliver the council’s strategic priority outcomes.
- Relevant professional degree or equivalent by experience.
- Experience of successfully leading and managing large multidisciplinary teams.
- Significant experience of leading digital transformation focused on innovation, engaging audiences, best practice and efficiency.
- Significant leadership and management experience and the ability to lead and drive culture change and transformation.
- Influencing and negotiating skills at the highest levels, to deliver change, improvement and financial benefits.
