St Leonard's Primary School is seeking an Extended School Teaching Assistant. This is a Grade 3 position, SCP 5, with a salary of £25,583 FTE for 10 hours per week, term time only plus five INSET days. The pro rata salary is approximately £5,974 (subject to the National Joint Council (NJC) pay award from April 2026, pending agreement). This is a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2027 due to budgetary funding, with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or above qualification, suitable for EYFS.
- Have recent and relevant experiences within a primary school setting.
- Be able to work effectively, flexibly and supportively as part of a team.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and in our school.
- Have high expectations of their conduct and act as a role model, leading by example.
- Be prepared to participate in all aspects of St. Leonard’s school life.
