Staffordshire County Council invites applications for Communication Professionals to support individuals with hearing loss within community and education settings in Staffordshire.
- Main Responsibilities
- Provide curriculum access in education and support students with sensory loss through signing, simplifying written materials, note‑taking and other support strategies.
- Encourage students to develop confidence and independence.
- Provide out‑of‑class support such as assisting with research, submitting assignments, paperwork, document organisation and exam support.
- Provide access to the community and information by explaining letters, making phone calls, or accompanying clients to activities.

- Experience within the deaf community and confident use of sign language for communication.
- Ability to foster professional relationships in a friendly manner.
- Competent in electronic communications such as email, text and Microsoft Teams, and able to respond in a timely manner.
