The Role

We are looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to provide advice to residents, businesses and visitors, and enforce parking restrictions fairly and consistently.

Work 37 hours per week across a 6‑week rotating shift pattern Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays). Weekend and bank holiday pay enhancements are in addition to the listed salary.

This position is based in Stafford and will primarily cover the Stafford area. Initial training and some working may be in Lichfield. Shifts vary so flexibility for the role is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help to reduce traffic congestion
  • Promote road safety
  • Protect parking spaces for people who need them
  • Improve air quality
  • Deal with members of the public face‑to‑face, sometimes in difficult situations, staying calm under pressure

About You

  • Experience in parking enforcement isn’t needed, but a history of working with members of the public is essential
  • Basic computing skills would be an advantage, as you will be using a hand‑held device daily
  • Hold a full driving licence
