We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro‑active individual with strong organisational skills and a desire to be the best that they can be. The ideal candidate has a child‑centred approach, is warm, nurturing, and brings magic, fun, enjoyment and play to our children’s lives while believing in releasing potential in others.
Responsibilities:
- Have a full and relevant EYFS qualification at Level 3 or above and at least 2 years of experience in baby room.
- Love coming into the nursery each day to spend time with our precious little ones and lead a fantastic staff team.
- Have a warm, infectious smile that greets children, families and staff, making them feel loved, special and valued.
- Read and research best practice in early years, reflect, and implement this within your room, explaining the reasons so staff are engaged and well‑informed.
- Be organised, professional and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Lead by example, help children play and be creative, and join in activities.
- Care about details – identify missing items such as a missing welly boot.
- Show love, kindness and give supportive hugs to children and staff.
- Have the courage to do the right thing, even when it is difficult.
- Be passionate about meeting the needs of all children, including those with SEND.
- Lead a team of support staff, inspiring, challenging and motivating them.
