We are seeking two full time Income Account Managers to join our Income Services Team at SCH, who will work as part of a team proactively managing a portfolio of rent, temporary accommodation and leaseholder accounts to prevent and reduce arrears and debt escalation. This is a key role at SCH responsible for delivery of high quality, customer focused rent collection and arrears services, and for ensuring that we are continually seeking to maximise income for the organisation, minimise evictions and sustain tenancies.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage a portfolio of rent, temporary accommodation and leaseholder accounts to prevent and reduce arrears and debt escalation.
- Deliver high quality, customer focused rent collection and arrears services.
- Ensure that we continually seek to maximise income for the organisation, minimise evictions and sustain tenancies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in achieving and/or exceeding set performance targets.
- Strong understanding of the legislative procedures for the collection of rent and leaseholder debt.
- Customer focused approach to rent collection, offering empathy and a non‑judgemental attitude, and committed to early intervention with affordable repayment plans for customers in arrears.
- Ability to prepare and confidently present arrears cases in court.
- Persistent, resilient and professional approach; ability to manage difficult conversations professionally, excellent numerical skills and ability to build positive partnerships.
