Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic leader passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in Solihull, especially those with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or other vulnerabilities.
As Partnership Lead you will have a vital role in influencing services - working with senior leaders across education, health and care to monitor, evaluate and improve outcomes and experiences for children and young people; while leading opportunities for engagement activity with those children and young people and their parent carers so the partnership responds to their needs and wishes.
Responsibilities- Influence services across education, health and care to monitor, evaluate and improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Build close working relationships with schools, parent carers, children and young people and professionals across education services, children’s and adults social care and health.
- A degree or membership of an appropriate professional institute or substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families.
- Significant experience of leading change at a strategic level and a track record of successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external bodies including other local authorities, government, private and voluntary sectors.
- The knowledge and practical interpretation of education legislation.
- The ability to provide effective support and challenge to senior leaders in educational settings and other professionals.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences, including senior leaders, parents and children with additional needs.
- Flexible working, including flexible and agile working arrangements.

You will be required to work at other locations across Solihull when needed and attend pre‑arranged meetings or events outside usual working hours.
