Crocketts Community Primary School is a warm and welcoming primary school committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for every child. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and highly motivated Site Manager to become a key part of our team and take pride in maintaining our school buildings and grounds to the highest standard.

As our Site Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school is safe, secure, clean, and well maintained. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school premises and provide a crucial support function to pupils, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Opening and locking the school site
  • Ensuring the security, safety, and overall condition of the school site and buildings
  • Carrying out and/or overseeing routine repairs, maintenance, and minor improvement works
  • Managing contractors on site
  • Maintaining accurate records including checks and inspections and statutory documentation
  • Ensuring classrooms, shared areas, and external grounds remain clean, tidy, and safe
  • Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies
  • Responding quickly and effectively to maintenance or safety issues as they arise
  • Supporting the school’s sustainability initiatives
What we are looking for
  • Practical, hands-on, and confident in carrying out general maintenance; well organised with good attention to detail
  • Able to work proactively and independently as well as part of a supportive team
  • Willing to work split shifts
  • Knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) health and safety procedures, compliance, and statutory requirements
  • Friendly, approachable, flexible and committed to supporting our school community
  • Experienced in premises management, caretaking, building maintenance, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
