Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, The Head Teacher and Governors of Burnt Tree Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and highly practical Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance and security of our school site. As a two-form entry primary school, we require someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to ensuring our environment is safe, well maintained and continually improved for our children, staff and wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the maintenance, safety and security of the school buildings and grounds.
- Carry out frequent, proactive maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains in excellent condition.
- Undertake a wide range of basic DIY and repair work (including painting, minor plumbing, adjustments and general upkeep).
- Identify and address maintenance issues early, ensuring a high standard of presentation at all times.
- Manage and supervise cleaning staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school.
- Act as a key holder, including opening and closing the site and responding to alarms where required.
- Carry out routine health and safety checks.
