Senior Learning Support Practitioner (HLTA)
32 1/2 hours per week, term time only. 1 year fixed term, starting January 2025. Salary: £23,906 – £27,245 per annum (based on full year; actual amount depends on start date and clearance status).
Responsibilities
- Teach small groups of pupils across a range of subjects, often including Preparation for Adult Life and GCSE content.
- Carry out EHCP paperwork, including annual reviews, in close collaboration with the SEN team.
- Provide support for the SEN team, drawing on knowledge of neurodiversity and mental health.
- Engage confidently with families and young people, especially those who may have had negative educational experiences.
- Travel across the borough and the satellite school at Shelfield School as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with EHCP paperwork and annual reviews.
- Background in supporting pupils with complex needs (mental health, illness, autism, ADHD).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Full enhanced DBS clearance (mandatory before appointment).
