Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils are seeking a Senior Building Control Surveyor for a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, with a salary range of £45,091 – £49,282 per annum (pay award pending) plus a £4,000 market forces supplement.
The South Worcester Building Control Partnership combines the Building Control services of Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council, and Wychavon District Council, sharing resources and expertise to provide a modern, flexible, and customer-focused local authority Building Control Service.
Responsibilities:
- You will maintain your own caseload of applications for Building Regulations approval, including complex and challenging projects within your registration class.
- You will assist supervising Class 1 RBI’s and support the Head of Building Control.
- You will manage relationships between the Council and developers on a range of development proposals, providing an efficient and effective building control service and representing the service on a wide range of new and exciting projects.
- You will liaise with members of the public or their agents, working away from the office and dealing confidently with customers.
The role requires a self-motivated candidate with a strong track record in team leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and enthusiasm for developing the service further.
