Staffordshire County Council is offering part-time opportunities in the School Crossing Patrol Service. The role serves local communities by assisting school children and pedestrians on their journey to and from school.

Responsibilities

  • The duties are term time only and are ideally suited to anyone who prefers to take school holidays.
  • You will receive full training and uniform, and payment throughout the year.
  • You will be required to attend a Health Assessment conducted by Staffordshire County Council’s Occupational Health Department.
  • Vacancies are for School Crossing Patrols (vehicle not essential) and Relief School Crossing Patrols (vehicle not essential).
  • School Crossing Patrols operate twice daily during term-time. Duty times usually fall between 7:30am – 9:00am and 2:30pm – 4:00pm. Each duty can last from 30 minutes up to 1 hour in length; times may vary by crossing location.
