John Taylor MAT, Teacher of Design & Technology required from September 2026. Permanent, Full Time. Salary: MS1 – UPS3: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum. Rugeley John Taylor School, part of John Taylor MAT, is an all-through school within the Trust family, opening our doors to our first cohort of Year 7 students in September 2025. We are expanding to build a school that serves local communities from the earliest years through Sixth Form, delivering a high-quality learning experience and embedding the core features of John Taylor MAT. We are seeking to appoint an additional seven teachers in September 2026 who will work closely with the founding teaching team, the Executive Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher to continue to build an inspiring curriculum and deliver a quality first learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Design & Technology lessons to relevant key stages and subjects in line with the school curriculum.
- Work with the founding teaching team and leadership to develop an inspiring curriculum and ensure a quality first learning experience.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Provide risk learning opportunities for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
- Take responsibility and accountability for consistent progress of all pupils.
- Nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate others, acting as an exemplary role model.
- Collaborate with a growing Leadership Team in the evolution of the new school.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of teaching in the relevant key stages in the relevant subject area.
- Ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Understanding of how to provide differentiated learning opportunities for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
- A willingness to go the extra mile as the school and staff team evolves.
- Ability to take responsibility for the progress of all pupils and uphold high standards.
