Extended School Wrap Around Carer (Level 3) required from September 2026. Permanent, part‑time role working 22.5 hours per week – 5 days per week (4.5 hours per day – 7:30 am to 9:00 am, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Term time, 38 weeks per year. Salary: Grade 4 SCP6 — £25,989 to £26,403 per annum (pro‑rata). Actual salary: £13,302 to £13,514 per annum.
Rugeley John Taylor School, part of John Taylor MAT, is proud to be growing the only ‘all‑through’ school within our Trust family. Having opened our doors to our first cohort in September 2025, we are continuing to build a school that will serve local communities from the earliest years right through to sixth form, offering a ‘gold standard’ learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direct instruction and guidance of teaching staff within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), usually in the classroom alongside the classroom teacher.
- Provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment that is conducive to meeting the learning and development needs of each child.
- Support learning through play, exploration and adult‑led activities in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
- Provide quality integrated day care and education for all children in the nursery and reception (ages 3‑4), growing with the school to eventually accommodate ages 3‑11 over the next few years.
Qualifications & Experience
- Good understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and child development.
- Experience working with children with SEND and specific needs.
- Pediatric First Aid qualification (training will be provided if necessary).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivation and ability to take responsibility.
- Understand school policies to ensure the safety and well‑being of all children, parents and staff.
- Ability to build professional relationships with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
- Ability to liaise effectively with other team members, children and parents/carers.
