About the Role

  • Provide high-quality teaching, learning, and pastoral support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Deliver an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports pupils’ academic progress, communication, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment where every child can flourish.
  • Support pupils with communication and interaction needs through personalised approaches and targeted interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Promote inclusion across the wider school community.
  • Inspire curiosity, confidence, resilience, and a love of learning in all pupils.
  • Contribute to the continued development of our inclusive practice and provision within the Sunshine Room.
