Sheltered Living Officer
Salary: £32,046 - £34,811 per annum

- Build trusted relationships with residents
- Provide practical advice and assistance
- Undertake wellbeing and support assessments
- Carry out health and safety inspections
- Coordinate repairs
- Respond to emergency Lifeline telecare activations
- Work closely with colleagues, contractors, statutory agencies, charities and support organisations to achieve positive outcomes for customers
The role requires excellent communication skills, sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to work independently whilst managing a busy and diverse workload.
- Responsible for ensuring our sheltered living environments remain safe and welcoming
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Support resident engagement activities and meetings
- Act as an advocate for some of the Council's most vulnerable tenants
Education: A Level standard (or equivalent)
- At least three years' experience delivering customer-focused services
- Minimum two years' experience working with older and/or vulnerable people
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong organisational abilities
- Excellent record keeping and IT skills
- Confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently
- Experience of organising community or resident activities advantageous
- Post involves working at weekends on a rota
