LGV Driver in Royal Leamington Spa

Full/part-time Class C LGV Driver. Do you hold a LGV Cat C licence and would you like to help us with recycling?

Role and Responsibilities

• We are looking for Class C Hook Lift drivers to join Warwickshire County Council's recycling services.
• Applicants should be able to drive a hook lift vehicle or be interested in learning.
• The role involves transporting roll-on roll-off skips to maintain capacity at recycling centres and transfer stations.
• If you do not have hook lift experience, full training will be provided.
• Drivers work independently to ensure the service runs efficiently, and materials are taken for appropriate recycling and disposal.
• The service runs 7 days a week; drivers must be available to work one weekend each month (Saturday and Sunday).
• Overtime may be available beyond 37 hours and Sundays, and bank holidays are paid at double time.

Key Requirements

• Class C LGV licence.

• Good communication skills to relay information accurately and timely.
• Team player with a positive outlook and professionalism.

Additional Information

• Fluency Duty: must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
