Family Support Worker
North Leamington School, Worcester United Kingdom
Permanent Contract. Full time, 37 hours per week, daily working pattern 8:15am to 4:15pm (Mon‑Thu) and 8:15am to 3:45pm (Fri). Term‑time only, 40 weeks. Salary Band H, points 14‑17 (starting at £27,367 per annum).
Responsibilities
- Support the Family Support Team in improving outcomes for families and young people by alleviating learning barriers.
- Work within inclusive structures, processes and practice to support families and students, enabling academic, personal, social and healthy development of referred students.
- Collaborate with the IEN team and other professional partners to provide information, advice and liaison between home and school on a range of challenges.
- Work with the primary school partners across the multi‑academy trust.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate well to adults and children.
- Understanding of young people, education, and experience working with partner agencies or support organisations.
- Good working knowledge of common ICT applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to present information effectively.
- Minimum GCSE level and a full UK driving licence.
- Open‑mindded, confidential, and sensitive.
