Overview

Kingsway Community Primary School (CAT) invites applications for the role of Deputy Headteacher. This is a full-time, permanent post. Grade: Warwickshire Leadership Scale L6-L10 (£58,569 to £64,691). Start date: 13 April 2026 (flexibility may be possible for the right candidate). Location: Kingsway Primary School, Baker Avenue, Leamington Spa, CV31 3HB.

You’ll lead on Inclusion, Behaviour and Teaching & Learning, and serve as Maths Lead, shaping a whole-school approach to mathematical thinking, progress and curriculum design. You’ll also act as Pupil Premium Lead, ensuring strategic use of funding and championing high-quality provision for disadvantaged pupils. You’ll support our new SENCO to strengthen systems and provision, mentor Initial Teacher Trainees and Early Career Teachers, and contribute to our safeguarding culture as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. A small teaching commitment will keep you connected to the classroom and grounded in the daily experiences of our pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Pupil Premium Lead, ensuring strategic use of funding and high-quality provision for disadvantaged pupils
