The role involves managing a wide range of cases, whilst professionally and compliantly delivering the Councils' statutory homelessness services in accordance with relevant legislation. This includes:
- Providing enabling and supportive customer services focused on the prevention and/or relief of homelessness and recovery from abuse.
- Ensuring that all housing solutions are discussed, planned, understood and agreed through a regularly reviewed Personal Housing Plan (PHP) and risk assessment.
- Working diligently, effectively and efficiently to bring cases to decision, ensuring close collaboration with the Housing Solutions Team.
- Delivering advice in support of victims finding solutions to retain their existing accommodation or secure alternative safe accommodation.
Key Requirements:
- Grade 6: Minimum Level 2 qualifications related to homelessness practice and at least 1 year demonstrable experience in the homelessness or social housing sector.
- Grade 7: A minimum level 3 qualification related to homelessness practice and at least 2 years demonstrable experience specific to the role.
