Worcestershire County Council is offering a part-time position as a Careers and Employment Advisor, with a salary range of £23,866 to £25,502 per annum for 28 hours per week. The role is based at the Redditch Careers Hub and involves working in various outreach locations.
This fixed-term contract runs until 31st March 2028, with a view to extending. The successful candidate will support young people aged 16-24 in achieving their career aspirations and positive destinations.
As a Careers and Employment Advisor, you will be part of a dynamic team that employs a young person-centred approach to assist young people into employment, education, or training. Careers Worcestershire provides a safe, friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment where young people can access helpful support and advice.
Your responsibilities will include empowering young people through group and individual mentoring sessions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working directly with this age group, particularly those who are vulnerable or in crisis.
Ideal candidates will have experience in delivering 1:1 or group mentoring sessions, knowledge of the fundamentals of mentoring and youth work, and experience in designing and developing resources for young people.
