REACH is a six-week, free work experience programme for jobseekers aged 18-24 living in Wolverhampton. Through a combination of hands-on work experience and one-to-one employment support, you’ll develop a range of skills that employers value, and your new CV and confident interview skills will help you to seal the deal!
Duration: Over six consecutive weeks. Requires a commitment of three days for the first week. You’ll be on a placement for one or two days per week thereafter in the business in an area you have expressed an interest in.
Location: Wolverhampton
Key benefits:
- Experience working across different teams and departments within Wolverhampton Homes or with one of our partners in the city.
- Developing an understanding of different types of roles and the skills which are important for each one, such as customer service, administration, data analysis, communications and marketing, and human resources.
- Gaining hands-on experience which will allow you to apply your newly acquired skills, develop confidence, and make meaningful contributions.
- Spending three days during your first week with our Early Careers Coach, who will support you with identifying your skills and CV writing, finding and applying for jobs, mock interviews with feedback, and other one-to-one advice and guidance.
What happens when I finish?
Receive a completion certificate and can quote Wolverhampton Homes as a reference on future job applications. We’ll be able to confirm you attended, were reliable and punctual, and participated fully in the course. This provides assurance to a future employer and gives you the best chance of success with the jobs you apply for provided you complete the full programme.
