Are you an experienced project finance officer looking for a collaborative role that is varied, challenging and makes a real difference? We are seeking a Project Finance Officer (28 hours per week) who will take the lead in providing financial management support to our teams running Diocesan strategic projects as well as undertaking projects to improve the efficiency of the operations of the Diocese.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular project finance reports including budget, expenditure and forecasts
  • Reconcile projects in the finance systems against final accounts
  • Work with external bodies with regards to grants
  • Support budget holders with preparation of statutory annual accounts, finance reporting and audit

If you have experience of project finance, including budget management, and awareness of charity finance principles, then we would love to hear from you. This role will suit someone with strong technical skills (including finance systems and Excel), excellent organisational skills and the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial colleagues. Your ability to collaborate with stakeholders and adapt in a changing project environment is essential.

You will join a small, knowledgeable and friendly team, who enjoy working together.
