Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils are looking for a motivated individual to join our Planning Support team. This role involves:
- Validation/processing of planning and tree works applications
- Registration of permitted development and pre-application advice enquiries
- Administrative support for Planning Committee and Appeals
- Dealing with planning enquiries from the general public
The Planning Support Team provides all administrative support primarily to the Development Management function of Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils. The role is based at Malvern, but you may be required to provide cover in Pershore as needed.
About You
- Good standard of education, including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English
- IT literate and familiar with using Windows, Word, Excel, and document management systems
- Ability to work well within a team and use your own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
- Administrative experience in a multi-disciplined unit
- Attention to detail and effective time management
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Experience of processing planning applications is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
