We are recruiting a Planning Enforcement Officer to join our Development Management Planning Service Enforcement Team within Herefordshire Council. The role is based at the council’s modern offices at Plough Lane in Hereford, with flexible working options, including home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate alleged breaches of planning control and undertake site inspections.
- Carry out associated administrative tasks and consultations.
- Engage in negotiations with interested parties and liaise with councillors, colleagues, and residents.
- Make clear decisions and provide guidance on enforcement matters.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in planning or regulatory enforcement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Confidence to negotiate and make clear decisions.
- Current full driving licence.
- Access to pool cars; flexible working hours.
