Stoke-on-Trent City Council is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated Personal Wellbeing Assistants to join our strong Community Enablement team. This is a part-time position only, working 21 hours per week, and therefore the salary will be pro rata. You will be required to work on a rota basis which will include weekends and evening shifts from 4 pm to 10 pm. We predominantly require evening shifts. The role will require you to be able to travel across the city.
A Personal Wellbeing Assistant will provide all aspects of care in a person’s own home. This may include personal care, assisting with medication, and supporting with meals and drinks. You will be required to have a genuine interest and commitment to providing high-quality care and support to adults in promoting their privacy, dignity, choice, and independence.
From within the council, you will be offered a comprehensive framework of core skills and knowledge. A rolling programme of induction and accredited training opportunities will build your confidence and enable you to reach your full potential.
