An exciting opportunity has arisen for Social Workers to join the Families First – National Reforms Pilot.
The Families First for Children Programme aims to improve how families are supported to enable children to remain safely within their own families and communities, and to ensure children are protected from harm both inside and outside the home.
This is a pilot locality at the forefront of reform, testing and embedding new ways of working under the Family Help model.
It is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, relationship‑focused team shaping the future of practice across the system.
We are looking for confident and reflective Social Workers who are passionate about high‑quality practice and keen to contribute to a test‑and‑learn environment.
The team has strong morale, supportive oversight, and a genuine commitment to innovation and improvement.
About you
- Recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Completed your ASYE and have at least 2 years post‑qualifying experience in a Children & Families setting.
- Experience working in a children and families setting.
- Good knowledge of minimum standards and the ability to promote change in family life.
- Ability to analyse information and make informed decisions.
- Good knowledge of child development.
