School Governor – Co-opted – Tividale Community Primary

We have a vacancy on our Governing Board for a Co-opted Governor. This is a voluntary position with a commitment to attend evening meetings at the school approximately four times per year and periodic in-school visits. You must be over 18 years to apply.

Being a school governor is a challenging but hugely rewarding role. It will give you the chance to make a real difference to our pupils and also to give something back to your local community.

Our Governing Board has a balance and diversity of knowledge, skills and experience to enable it to be effective. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can further enhance the Board by offering knowledge and expertise in one or more of these areas; finance, human resources, health and safety, or managing premises. There is no requirement for you to have an understanding of the education system as training will be provided.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils, we expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is subject to a satisfactory DBS and Section 128 check. Training is available for all governors and those new to being a governor are expected to attend induction training. All of our governors are expected to follow the Code of Conduct.
