Family Support Worker – Kinship & Reunification Hub

Band E SCP 18 – 25 (£31,537 – £36,363 per annum) dependent upon experience
Hours – 37 per week
Contract – 12 months fixed term
Post holder responsibilities
- Working directly with birth parents and children to support successful timely reunification.
- Empowering parents by building their skills and confidence in parenting.
- Coordinating timely referrals to specialist services.
- Supporting children and young people through care transitions.
- Championing the voices of vulnerable children and families.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or evidence of previous similar study
- Experience of direct work with children or adults
- Basic knowledge of child development
- A driving licence
- Ability to work flexibly and outside core working hours, including weekends and early evenings when families are together
- Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
- Good IT skills
- Good team player, self‑motivating, reflective and able to use own initiative
- Able to remain focused despite oppositional challenges from families
