We are looking to recruit a Business Support Team Member to provide high‑quality administrative and business support. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the service, supporting managers, officers, and customers through efficient administrative processes. Job Role & Key Responsibilities
- Business Support & Administration
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the service, ensuring efficient and effective office operations.
- Manage and maintain electronic and manual filing systems in line with data protection and record‑keeping requirements.
- Process correspondence, emails, and enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Prepare documents, reports, agendas, and minutes as required.
- Financial & Systems Support
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and assist with financial monitoring using corporate systems.
- Maintain accurate records of expenditure and service data.
- Update and manage databases and internal systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Act as a first point of contact for internal and external customers, providing a professional and courteous service.
- Liaise with colleagues, partners, contractors, and members of the public as required.
- Support service communications and information sharing.
- Organisational & Team Support
- Support managers and officers with diary management, meetings, and service coordination.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training administration where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business support processes and ways of working.
- Corporate Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with council policies, procedures, and values.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, equality, and data protection requirements.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the role.
