Office Manager & Headteacher’s PA – St Thomas More Catholic Academy, Stoke on Trent
We are seeking an Office Manager & Headteacher’s PA to join St Thomas More Catholic Academy. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the school’s administrative functions, provide excellent support for the Headteacher and line manage the administration team within a fast-paced environment of a busy secondary school.
St Thomas More Catholic Academy is part of the All Saints Catholic Collegiate (MAC). The academy is an 11–18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1137 students on roll and has an established reputation in the area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the school’s administrative functions to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
- Provide high-level support to the Headteacher
- Line manage the administration team
- Oversee diary management, correspondence, and administrative processes
- Support safeguarding, compliance, and data handling in line with school policies
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience in office management and/or as a PA in an educational setting
- Ability to lead and develop administrative staff
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and working within Catholic Education standards
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required; satisfactory references, medical clearance, and Right to Work in the UK
Terms and Benefits
- Level 8, SCP 22–25 (£32,654 – £35,235), Actual starting salary £29,984
- Hours: 37 per week, term time + 2 weeks + INSET
- Mon–Fri, 8.00am – 4.00pm
- Start date: ASAP
