Are you an experienced change leader who can turn ambition into action? We are looking for a Transformation Delivery Manager to lead major transformation across the authority and help shape how services are designed, delivered, and improved. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Digital and Business Change, you will lead the Transformation Team and play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful, organisation‑wide change and support the Council’s work in Local Government Reform.
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence strategic priorities, work closely with senior leaders and elected members, and lead programmes that improve services, productivity, and outcomes for residents. You will champion transformation plans, oversee complex delivery, and embed a strong culture of programme and project management across the Council. About The Role- Leading the Transformation Team to deliver cross‑council change and improvement activity.
- Managing complex programmes and projects, including planning, governance, reporting, benefits realisation, and risk management.
- Advising programme boards and senior stakeholders on priorities, options, progress, and delivery challenges.
- Developing business cases, reports, and funding applications to support transformation priorities.
- Using data, insight, and learning to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Significant experience of leading and delivering transformation in a large or complex organisation.
- Strong programme and project management expertise, ideally supported by a recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of analysing complex data, managing budgets, and presenting clear recommendations to different audiences.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build productive relationships at all levels.
- A proactive, organised, and outcomes‑focused approach, with the ability to lead others and deliver change at pace.
