We are looking for an ICT Manager to lead the day-to-day management of the ICT service while helping shape the Council’s technology direction for the future. Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council is seeking a senior role with real breadth, influence and visibility.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead critical ICT services, from applications and infrastructure to cyber security, service delivery, and digital improvement. You will deputise for the Chief Information Officer where required, work with senior leaders and elected members, and help ensure the Council’s technology is secure, resilient, modern and responsive. This role will significantly contribute to and represent the Council in its response to Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
About The RoleHave significant experience and technical expertise required to lead enterprise architecture, networking and security, application support and service desk. Managing budgets, contracts, procurement, and business cases to ensure value for money and effective delivery. Lead the Council’s approach to cyber security, resilience, disaster recovery and technology compliance. Providing strategic leadership on ICT roadmap, enterprise architecture, digital design and service improvement. Managing and motivating teams, leading complex ICT projects, and building strong relationships with members, partners, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
You will bring- Senior-level experience of leading ICT services, ideally within local government or another complex public‑sector environment.
- Strong technical and operational knowledge across infrastructure, applications, cyber security, service management and ICT strategy.
- Experience of working with senior leaders, elected members, auditors, suppliers and external partners.
- A relevant degree or willingness to work towards one, with cyber security and project management qualifications advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
