Oak Wood Primary School is a successful specialist setting for children aged from 4 to 11 with a broad spectrum of special educational needs and learning disabilities. We are seeking to recruit a Family Liaison Officer who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their fullest potential.

About The Role

The Family Liaison Officer will play a key role in supporting pupils' wellbeing, engagement and behaviour across the school. You will work closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality pastoral and behaviour support
  • Build effective relationships with pupils and families
  • Support the Pastoral manager with attendance and contribute to safeguarding practices across the school

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in pastoral, wellbeing or behaviour support (SEND experience desirable)
  • Shows empathy, emotional intelligence and a child‑centred approach
  • Communicates confidently with families and multi‑agency partners
