We are recruiting for a Contracts Officer to join the Corporate Property Team within the Housing and Community Safety Directorate. As a Contracts Officer you will be required to manage projects and planned programmes up to a value of circa £2m. This involves:
- Acting as Contract Administrator ensuring contracts are delivered in line with specific terms and conditions.
- Working with our Clerk of Works to ensure all works are delivered to high quality standards.
- Developing specifications and tender documents to procure contracts.
- Managing allocated budgets to ensure contract values are not exceeded.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve contractual queries and issues.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare, issue, and manage contract documentation, notices, and instructions in accordance with JCT or other Contract publications, requirements.
- Carry out appropriate liaison with tenants, residents, stakeholders and members of the public dealing with any potential difficulties that may arise in conjunction with the Contractor undertaking the works.
