We are looking to appoint Night Residential Support Workers who will work as part of a team supervising young people during waking night shifts, supporting with behaviours that challenge, administering medication, and undertaking household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry while the young people are asleep.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Eligibility: Must be at least 23 years old.
Salary: £29,308 – £29,834 per year (full‑time equivalent; includes market supplement, starting salary subject to qualifications).
Location: Sunfield Garden School and Children’s Homes, part of Ruskin Mill Trust.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during night shifts.
- Support challenging behaviours.
- Administer medication.
- Carry out domestic duties, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people with complex needs.
Qualifications:
- A patient, caring, compassionate child‑centered approach.
- Ideally previous experience of working in a residential setting and supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and record keeping.
- Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations.
- Ability to provide personal care and administer medication, depending on student needs.
