Position: HLTA (Highly Qualified Teacher of the Arts)

Location: Learning Community Trust – Burton Borough School, Newport, UK

Employment type: Permanent

Hours: 32 hours per week (8:30 am – 3:45 pm Monday–Thursday; 3:15 pm Friday)

Salary: Annual Salary Scale 6 (£23,360 – £24,961)

Schedule: Term time plus one week of professional development days.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals and groups, supporting the SENDCo, Assistant SENDCo and teaching staff.
  • Monitor, record and report on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.
  • Work closely with parents, students and teaching staff to ensure a unified approach to quality teaching.
  • Support pupils to reach their full potential and contribute to the ongoing success of the school.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified HLTA (High Level Teacher of the Arts) or equivalent qualification.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to working closely with colleagues and pupils to provide outstanding learning experiences.
  • Experience in planning and delivering learning activities for young people.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor progress and collaborate with parents and staff.

Commitment to safeguarding: Successful applicants will need to undertake DBS enhanced clearance.
