Learning Community Trust – Burton Borough School, located in Newport, is a mixed school of 1,160 students. The school joined the Learning Community Trust on 1 April 2024. We are looking for a Business and Computing teacher for September 2026.
In this role you will teach Business and Computing, focusing on a comprehensive, evidence‑based curriculum that develops commercial awareness, enterprise, real‑world application, computational thinking, problem‑solving, and digital literacy. You will contribute to a learning culture that values high expectations, positive relationships, and clear routines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding, including teaching computer science at GCSE.
- Commitment to high‑quality lesson design.
- Awareness of evidence‑based strategies such as retrieval practice, modelling, checking for understanding, and scaffolded practice.
