Stoke‑on‑Trent City Council is recruiting a Cleaner for the Property – Operations, FM and Projects section within the Housing, Regeneration and Operations Directorate.
Location: Stoke Town Hall, Stoke‑on‑Trent. The work location will be provided on a weekly basis and may change to provide cover where needed.
Salary & Working Hours
Salary: £24,413 – £24,796 pro rata. Hours: Variable. The role offers the following schedules:
- Full‑time 37 hours per week (6 AM – 8 PM)
- Part‑time 15 hours per week (5 PM – 8 PM)
- Part‑time 18.5 hours per week (6 AM – 8 PM)
Key Responsibilities
The Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning facilities across the city, including libraries, offices, museums, sheltered housing schemes and communal areas within flats. Duties include:
- Cleaning washrooms, kitchens, reception areas, office areas, meeting rooms, stairwells and lifts to a given standard.
- Unlocking or locking buildings as required.
- Ensuring availability between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM to meet operational needs.
Training & Eligibility
Appropriate training will be provided. If you are currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation, your application will receive priority.
