East Staffordshire Borough Council seeks a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Mayoral, Democratic Services and Civic Function Suite Apprentice. The Legal and Regulatory Services Department is a dynamic, multi‑skilled team at the heart of the Council, incorporating Legal, Assets and Democratic Services, Environmental Health and Enforcement teams. The apprenticeship will be flexible, allowing the Apprentice to support different teams to meet business needs and gain valuable experience across all areas of activity.

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career in local government while gaining a recognised qualification. Full training, mentoring and support will be provided throughout the term.

The appointment is for a fixed‑term, 2‑year contract. On performance, the Apprentice may be considered for permanent positions if a vacancy arises during the initial contract. The contracted hours of work are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible working hours scheme.
