Tibberton CofE First School is looking to recruit a happy, reliable and capable individual to join our friendly team as a Teaching Assistant for the Autumn Term. This is a full-time temporary contract, predominantly providing class-based support for children in our Early Years and Year One classroom.

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting;
- Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs;
- Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement;
- Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest;
- Be flexible, forward-thinking, innovative and highly energetic;
- Have an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development;
- Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children;
- Be able to work well as part of our whole school team, school federation and the school community;
- Be willing to undertake relevant training;
- Support our Christian ethos as a church school.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions.
