Worcestershire County Council is looking for two Senior Highways Maintenance Technicians to join our South Worcestershire Design & Build Team based at Newlands Depot.
Salary: £32,573 - £34,397 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Newlands Depot, Malvern
Team: Design & Build South
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Deliver highway maintenance schemes across Worcestershire.
- Plan resurfacing and patching schemes.
- Conduct site inspections and traffic management planning.
- Liaise with contractors and support emergency responses.
- Assist in delivering improvement works and specialist programmes such as surface dressing.
- Engage with engineers, depot colleagues, and term‑service contractor to move schemes from investigation through delivery.
Qualifications:
- Experience in highways maintenance or civil engineering.
- Practical problem‑solving skills and a willingness to develop technical knowledge.
- Ability to work in a supportive team environment.
