Howbury House is a 32‑bed residential home for people who need care and support and are living with dementia. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and are looking for enthusiastic, caring people to join our team to enhance the lives of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to residents, listening and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Work as part of a team and on own initiative, demonstrating care, compassion and motivation.
- Treat residents with dignity and respect, recognising their rights and needs as older adults.
- Work on a three‑week rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with paid enhanced rates for unsociable hours.
- Accurately record and report care activities to maintain high standards of service.
- Participate in induction, training, and ongoing supervision to develop skills and maintain a high quality of care.
Qualifications
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated caring, compassionate, and motivated approach.
- Understanding of the rights and needs of older people; ability to treat individuals with dignity and respect.
