We are seeking a competent, capable and reliable individual to work as caretaker and site manager.

As a church school it is important to us to appoint someone who will take pride in our premises and ensure they are safe places, that allow our pupils and staff to flourish. The successful candidate will also benefit from our welcoming schools and inclusive ethos.

The successful applicant will have experience in repairs, maintenance and premises upkeep, and be able to carry out and log statutory checks (such as fire alarm testing and water temperature logging). Prior experience is desirable, but competency and capability are necessary, and full training will be given.

A visit to our site is encouraged, by arrangement with the school office.

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
