We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor (Electrical) to join our Property Services & Maintenance Partnership team. If you're passionate about delivering high‑quality electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance, and providing excellent customer service, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, helping us keep our buildings safe, compliant and performing at their best. As part of a small team, you’ll provide expert advice on electrical services across our diverse property portfolio, helping us maintain safe, efficient, and well‑managed buildings for our communities and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the delivery of reactive and planned preventative electrical maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to urgent or emergency issues, providing practical solutions and excellent customer care.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and provide project management support.
  • Maintain accurate statutory records for audits and inspections.
  • Carry out post‑works inspections, ensuring quality and contract compliance.
  • Supervise contractors and support effective delivery of all reactive and compliance‑related works.
  • Participate in our Out of Hours standby rota, helping us deliver a 365‑day responsive service.

Qualifications

  • A HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Building & Engineering Services, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and refurbishment.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation, Building Regulations, and CDM Regulations.
  • Experience supervising contractors and managing maintenance contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear advice to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A customer‑focused, solutions‑driven approach and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle (reasonable adjustments considered for disabled applicants).
