St Margarets at Hasbury CE Primary School is a one‑form entry school where children enjoy a nurturing and inclusive environment. We are looking for someone who will build positive relationships with the children and support them during their lunchtime. Someone who is passionate about all children having the opportunity to reach their potential and ‘Live Life in all Its Fullness’.

Job Details

  • Position: Lunchtime Assistant
  • Location: St Margarets at Hasbury CE Primary School, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Hours: 5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 12:10 pm – 1:10 pm Term Time Only)
  • Salary: Grade 2, SCP 3 (pro rata)
  • Closing date: Friday 6th February 2026

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with the children and support them during lunchtime.
  • Encourage and engage children during lunch.
  • Organise games and activities in line with the school’s enrichment policy.
  • Work as part of the team, forming positive relationships with adults and pupils.
  • Supervise children before and after lunch and playground duty.
  • Ensure safe and smooth lunchtime routine.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience working with young children.
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated person willing to engage with children during lunchtime.
  • Patience and flexibility.
  • Subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check; pre‑employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE 2025.
  • Must provide documentation proving right to work in the UK; no sponsorship is available.
  • Medical clearance may be required.

This is a fixed‑term post for 5 hours per week, Term Time Only. You should be able to work flexibly and adapt to daily variations to ensure that lunchtime runs smoothly and safely.
